When Placing an Order with One Cake Down, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Deposits & Cancellation
A deposit is required to confirm a booking or within 5 days of booking if online. No order will commence until such time as a deposit has been paid. In the event of cancellation by the client, a deposit may only be refunded if more than 30 days notice is provided, minus a $50 administration cost plus the cost of any toys, toppers, or any additions to the cake.
Balance Due
Balance of payment is due on collection or 3 days prior to delivery (if delivery has been arranged). Balance payment may be made by cash, EFTPOS or direct deposit. Please do not direct deposit balance payments on the day of delivery / pick up as your cake will not be available until the payment has been made in full and cleared in the One Cake Down account. Unless full payment has been received goods will not be available for collection or delivery. One Cake Down does not accept payment by cheque.
Alterations
Any changes made to your order within 7 days of collection or delivery will incur a surcharge, depending on the change/s requested. In most cases we can accommodate changes, however at times it is not possible.
Date Change: we understand that sometimes things happen and your date may need to be changed. One Cake Down is quite flexible, however, while your first date change is complimentary (within 30 days of original booked date) and any further changes will incur a $15 date change fee.
Pick Up / Delivery
I will always work hard to have your pick up or delivery to suit your needs, however, if picking up your cake is outside of regular business hours, please be mindful to be on time. Should you arrive late for pick up, One Cake Down reserves the right to charge a late pick up fee of $10 per half hour interval. Should One Cake Down be responsible for any cake that is not ready for pick up at the agreed time, One Cake Down will deliver to you free of charge.
Quality
At One Cake Down I pride my self on the quality of my products and service. It is important to remember that cakes are a perishable and delicate product. Unfortunately once we dispatch our cakes or our customers take possession of them, a number of factors relating to the care and transportation of the cakes may result in the quality being compromised or damage occurring to the cakes that are beyond our control or responsibility.
Care instructions must be followed thoroughly in order to avoid compromising the cakes quality, freshness and design. To assist in the care of your cake we will provided tips on transportation and storage. Unfortunately, with all the possible variables, it is difficult for One Cake Down to guarantee the cake quality in every case once it has left our premises. All cakes delivered and or picked up are deemed accepted by the purchaser in all cases.
Cake Surgery
One Cake Down will take all measures to ensure that your cake will be 100% safe in transit. We will give you specific instructions in how to care for your cake while transporting your cake. Please follow these instructions carefully. One Cake Down has delivered many cakes and is fully experienced in transportation of your yummy sweets.
If you have made a decision to pick up your cake and it is had been damaged during transport, dropped etc and needs to be fixed. Please note there will be a service fee of $50 per hour and (Monday - Saturday) or $65 per hour (Sunday), which starts from the time of leaving home / shop until return. Time would be rounded up to the nearest half hour.
We also on many occasions have performed emergency cake surgery on other cakes, not made at One Cake Down, we have no problems doing this for you, however it would be at the same fee as above + products used.
Refunds
As each cake is unique, so too are your special requirements and concerns surrounding your order. If you have found that for any reason the cake you ordered did not meet your expectations then please contact us via telephone or email on the day or on pick-up. A number of resolutions may be available to you and are subject to your particular situation and above terms.
If there is an issue with your order please note that you must return cake immediately in complete delivered form and return it to us on the next business day if we are to consider a refund, credit note or otherwise.
Covid 19 Lockdown and/or Isolation
In the event of an unexpected ‘Lockdown’ or ‘Isolation’ - normal cancellation policy applies. However, only in the event of lockdown, you also have the flexibility of the following. 1. You may transfer / postpone the cake ordered to another date (within 12 months of booked date). 2. You may have a full credit to use within a 12 month period of the booked date. 3. Have the cake made and delivered on original booked date. Please note any option is acceptable, however the final choice is locked in and no further changes can be made. Further changes will forfeit any monies paid. For both Lockdown and Isolation, no changes can be made within 72 hours of 9am, the day of pick up - no exceptions.
Disclosure
One Cake Down will not disclose or sell any personal information such as your name, address, email, telephone number to any person outside of One Cake Down, unless the customer has authorised us to do so or unless required by law to disclose such information.
Images & Agreement
One Cake Down reserves the right to upload Images of your cake on any social media, website, advertising material etc By proceeding with a purchase or supplying information, images, reviews you are in agreement with our terms and conditions as stated above..
